B.A. Foreign Languages French German Spanish at Lock Haven University Of Pennsylvania

Foreign Language offers majors in French, German and Spanish. A number of career options are available to the B.A. major. Foreign Language can be combined with another discipline or stand alone as preparation for careers with multi-national companies, social work, psychology, or foreign service and other federal agencies.

All foreign language majors are strongly encouraged to spend a semester abroad. Currently, LHU has exchange programs in countries where each of the three languages of concentration are spoken. Credit may also be earned in other languages when instruction can be provided by exchange faculty from foreign universities (for example, in recent years students have earned such credit in Italian and Russian). A major is defined as 24 credit hours in courses beyond level IV, as follows:
