Major in Languages and Cultures at Chubu University
The Major of Language and Cultures aims at a systematic understanding of human culture of language questioning the fundamental meaning of the human spirit and culture. It consists of three groups of subjects – comparative culture, applied linguistics, and Japanese language and culture, for the purpose of accurate understanding of areas and world societies, relative evaluation of Japanese culture from the global point of view, training international communication skills such as English, and training information process ability of individual language and areas. The latter term of the doctoral course has special research seminars on cultural research in comparative language and culture, relative research in Japanese culture, and training specialists in linguistics and language education.
