The Department of Persian Language and Literature with the aim of education and research in all levels of Persian Language began its activities in 1993. The Department of Persian Language and literature offers undergraduate degree programs in Persian Languages and Literature leading to B.A degree. The Department also offers graduate programs leading to M.A. degree. The M.A. program has been offered in Persian Languages and Literature since 2000.

At present , the department has 6 full-time faculty members who have graduated from some universities around Iran. More than 200 students are currently enrolled in the department, among whome 17 are studying at the M.A. level.

The Chairman of department is elected by faculty members vote for two years.

Admission to this department is achieved through a nationwide entrance examination held annually by the Ministry of Science , Research and Technology.

Master in Chinese at Bohai University China

Bohai University 60 existing staff, of whom 48 were full-time teachers, 12 administrative staff. In full-time teachers, professors 8, 15, an associate professor, 14 lecturers, 11 teaching assistants. 24 graduate instructors. 9 PhD teachers, and a master’s degree and 28 teachers.
A total of 1650 students in the Department of Chinese, of whom 1444 were undergraduates, 206 graduate students. Training objectives is Augmentum comprehensive two levels of qualified people.
Professional settings
Department of Chinese five existing Master: Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Ancient Chinese literature, language teaching theory, contemporary Chinese literature and Chinese language learning. There are two undergraduate professional: Chinese Language and Literature (Teachers); Chinese Language and Literature (clerical). Teaching and Research was set up nine: Modern Chinese, Ancient Chinese, Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, World Literature and Comparative Literature, literary theory, secretarial, writing and language teaching. The establishment of a province of Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute and four: Song Institute, the Northeast Institute of writer and his works, comparative study of Chinese and foreign cultural institutes and soft science.
Teaching Characteristics
Focus on the teaching of the Chinese department in the forefront of the introduction of subject knowledge, subject to highlight the characteristics of focus on teaching content, teaching methods and the reform of teaching methods, focus on the development and application of modern teaching methods, focusing on the students practice the spirit of innovation and ability to actively carry out the quality of education , constantly sum up experience and gradually formed a systemic, emphasizing practical, reflect the characteristics of modern teaching.
Scientific research
The last two decades the Department of Chinese teachers published 902 papers, 173 monographs published to complete the national, 53 provincial-level scientific research projects, scientific research postgraduate Master’s degree in Linguistics 17. The number of research projects and funding in all the arts have been at the top of the series.

Blackburn College offers three major tracks: British and American literature, secondary teaching of English, and written communications. All majors begin their study of English by taking approximately the same courses, with many waiting until the end of their sophomore year before deciding on a major track.

The department’s literary magazine, which accepts entries from the campus community, is judged and produced by students in the Craft of Writing I course. The Annual Creative Writing Contest, held each Spring, provides substantial monetary prizes. English majors are often involved in theatrical projects. The department sponsors trips to lectures, readings and drama productions at area universities and professional theaters.

Majors

British and American literature: The traditional liberal arts program in literature is suitable for the student who plans to continue in graduate or professional school or the student who enjoys the stimulation of literature and wishes to gain strong writing and speaking skills. Secondary Teaching of English: This program is for the students who plan English as their primary teaching field after graduation. Graduates are prepared to engage in a variety of research and writing endeavors, both literary and non-literary.

Written Communications: Written Communications combines courses in writing, literature, and communication. The major is intended for students considering careers in journalism, publishing, and similar fields.
