Introduction
The course offers you an opportunity to become a specialist in the growing industry of tourism and leisure with the added benefits of developing linguistic proficiency in Chinese. Students will spend a year in China in both a university and business setting. This practical hands-on experience equips students with a range of transferable skills that will provide students with a solid foundation for a future career within this industry.
The programme is designed to respond to the growing demand from employers for graduates with specialist knowledge of the tourism and leisure industry accompanied by a high-level understanding of a foreign language and sound cultural awareness is invaluable in this very competitive global market. The course is taught at both the John Foster Building in the City Centre and our IM Marsh Campus in the suburban Allerton area of the city. The latter hosts the Tourism and Leisure modules. A free Shuttle Bus service runs regularly between the two sites.
